This is a digital remake of the oil on canvas painting “Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose” by Anglo-American painter John Singer Sargent in 1885–86. John Singer Sargent is one of the painters that I look up to the most, the lightness of his brush strokes really are amazing and inspiring to me. His color palettes and his choice of subjects are the aspects that strike me the most about this painting. Painting this, allows me to practice as well as evaluate my skill level.

This is a digital remake of Weaver in an Interior by Adrien-Jean Le Mayeur de Merpres (9 February 1880 – 31 May 1958), a Belgian painter from Brussells who lived the last part of his life in Bali.
